About Josephine Haworth With over 30 years experience Josephine is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and of the UK Branch of the Toyohari Association, (Tokyo, Japan). Josephine studied Philosophy at University, then worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker and as a Psychotherapist. After qualifying as an Acupuncturist at the London School of Acupuncture (now part of Westminster University) she went to Nanjing, China, for work experience in a busy out-patients' department of the City Hospital. Josephine continued her post-graduate studies with Elizabeth Rochat de la Valee and at the Northern School of Acupuncture, in York. There she studied Dr Manaka's system with Stephen Birch and Junko Ida, and later went to Amsterdam to learn the Toyohari System with Steve and Junko.
